Herringbone tweed

A herringbone is a twill that changes direction every sixteen threads, so the diagonal ribs meet in a zig-zag. From a few steps away it reads as a quiet mid-grey, which makes it easy to wear with almost anything.

At 16 oz this is a proper outdoor cloth. It will not crease on a train and it softens with every year of wear. Most customers have it made into a three-button sport jacket with patch pockets.
